I killed two enemies then the rooms were all empty and I was uncertain how to progress.  Cool concept though!

Cool concepts! I feel like it might have felt better if the ball behaved a little more predictably. I felt like I would be still struggling to score goals even if I wasn't also worried about my guys being hijacked haha.

Very cool idea. Addicting game play. Enemies do move a little quick and many restarts ended in instant death due to the starting placement of enemies and asteroids. But the quick iteration makes it quickly forgotten lol.
